NEMS is committed to using state-of-the-art technology to better serve its patients.

In 2008, the NEMS Dental and Radiology Departments switched to digital x-ray systems to help increase accuracy and safety. Compared to traditional x-ray, the new systems save time and reduce exposure to radiation for both patients and staff.

The Radiology Department also utilizes the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), an electronic network that allows radiologists to view, annotate, and send x-rays digitally.

In 2009, NEMS launched Electronic Health Records (EHR) to replace traditional paper medical charts. Electronic health records increases efficiency and provides up-to-date health information. The EHR system that NEMS uses is secure and complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
