NEMS’ Government and Community Affairs Team has been busy today meeting with our state Elected Officials and their staff up here in Sacramento for California Primary Care Association’s annual Day at the Capitol! Thanks to Assemblymember Phil Ting, Assemblymember Matt Haney, Assemblymember Alex Lee, Assemblymember Ash Kalra, Senator Scott Wiener, Senator Aisha Wahab, and Senator Dave Cortese for representing our staff, patients, and 23 sites, which serve over 72,000 patients in the San Francisco Bay Area! It was great to see our sister FQHCs out here in full force advocating for a better healthcare future for all. Let’s keep the momentum going! 🙌🏼 #DAC2024

Aerobic Exercise Class

Youre invited to join us for an aerobic exercise class! Aerobic exercise is sometimes known as “cardiovascular exercise.” During aerobic activity, you repeatedly move large muscles in your arms, legs and hips. You’ll breathe faster and more deeply which maximizes the amount of oxygen in your blood. Your body will even release endorphins, which are natural painkillers that promote an increased sense of well-being.

This exercise will include music, which will allow us to feel more relaxed. Also, it is a great opportunity to improve your health, make new friends and learn skills to enhance your overall well-being.

Benefits:
• Achieved by increasing the amount (duration, frequency or intensity) of physical activity
• Increase range-of-motion, strength & flexibility
• Improves sense of well being
• Increase feeling of connections, less isolation
• More energy
