We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals who want to give back to the community. Volunteers can work with patients or help out behind-the-scenes in a wide range of activities and departments. We have flexible shifts, and volunteers are asked to complete a minimum of 150 hours within a 3-6 month period.
We are looking for college students who are interested in pursuing a health-related career for our Linda Yu Bien Volunteer Program. The goal of the program is to expose students to the dynamic environment of a community health center so that they can better understand how health care is delivered to an underserved population. Volunteers will receive trainings from NEMS Health Education Department on how to improve communication skills in a health care setting and learn how to deliver culturally competent health education messages. To learn more about the program, click here. To apply, complete the Volunteer Contact Form and mention the Linda Yu Bien Volunteer Program in your message.
